Gyeongju Hwabaek International Convention Center (HICO) is an exhibition and convention venue in the Bomun Tourist Complex of Gyeongju, one of Korea’s leading historic and cultural cities.

The name HICO draws on Hwabaek, the Silla-era tradition of discussion and consensus. It reflects a place where people and ideas meet to create new value.

With dedicated facilities for international conferences, exhibitions, and events, HICO demonstrated its ability to host major global gatherings during the 2025 APEC Economic Leaders’ Meeting.

We connect Gyeongju’s thousand-year heritage with the world, opening new opportunities for exchange and business.

THE HWABAEK IDEA

Different ideas come together
to create new possibilities.

HICO stands where history, dialogue, and global connections meet.
